Cub Scouts

FIRST Team 1073 has visited Pack 260 Cub Scouts periodicaly. The cub scouts get so excited seeing the robot, watching it move, and learning about robotics from the high schoolers. After seeing how cool robotics can be, many cub scouts come to our competition at the BAE Systems Granite State Regional to cheer us on and to get a personal tour of the pits by a FIRST Team 1073 member!

Girl Scouts

Last season, in our efforts to promote science and technology within the community, members of Team 1073 went to visit several Girl Scout troops. There, they spoke to the girls about what FIRST is, and what we do here at 1073. Team members worked with the girls and helped them earn badges related to science and technology. The younger, first grade troop earned their “Science in Action” try-it badge, while the girls in grades four through six junior Girl Scouts earned their "Math Wiz" badge. Our aim in working with these girls was to encourage them to appreciate the fields of science and technology, and introduce them to the idea of joining a FIRST Robotics team later in life.
